The 2012 MVC basketball tournament will be held March 1^st through March 4^th at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri. The tournament is officially sponsored by State Farm and is also referred to as “Arch Madness.” The 10 members of the MVC will play each other in a single elimination tournament with the champion obtaining the conference’s automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA basketball tournament. This will be the 22^nd consecutive year the tournament is held in St. Louis, Missouri. The times and TV network coverage is based on the 2012 MVC basketball tournament schedule and is subject to change until the league announces the final tournament schedule.

2012 MVC Tournament Venue

The 2012 MVC basketball tournament is being held in the Scottrade Center which seats 19,150 fans and is located in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The arena first opened in 1994 and is the regular home for the St. Louis Blues of the NHL. The Scottrade Center hosts more than 170 events a year and expands its overall seating for “Arch Madness” or the MVC Tournament. The 2007 MVC Tournament saw 22,612 fans attend the tourney for the largest crowd to attend a game in the venue (happened twice).
