The 2012 Mountain West basketball tournament is scheduled March 8^th through March 10^th, 2012. It will be held at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. This year’s tournament is sponsored by Conoco and will include Boise State for the first year. BYU and Utah will not be in the conference this season, The winner of the 2012 Mountain West conference tournament will be awarded an automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA basketball tournament. The specific times and matchups are based on last year’s tournament and the number of teams playing in the conference this season.

2012 Mountain West Basketball Tournament Venue

The 2012 Mountain West Basketball Tournament is being played at the Thomas & Mack Center located on the campus of UNLV in Paradise, Nevada. The arena can seat 18,776 in a basketball configuration and was first opened in the summer of 1983. Since then, the facility underwent major renovations in 1999 and in 2008 had all new visual equipment installed. In 2001, Cox Pavilion was added to the complex and is connected to the main arena. The arena also hosts the L.A. Lakers preseason games in October (when we have a NBA preseason).
