The 2012 Big East Basketball Tournament will be held March 6th through March 10^th, 2012 at Madison Square Garden. 2012 is the third year that all Big East teams will be playing in the tournament. The winner of the tournament will obtain the conference’s automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The following is the 2012 Big East Tournament TV schedule and bracket based on the 2011 schedule and is subject to change based on verification of the sked by the Big East later in the year. 2012 Big East Basketball Tournament Venue

The 2012 Big East Basketball Tournament is being held in Madison Square Garden (MSG) which first opened on February 11^th, 1968. The facility is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Manhattan between 31^st and 33^rd streets on 8^th avenue. The venue is located next to One Penn Plaza and is the second oldest venue in the NBA and the oldest in the NHL. In a basketball configuration, MSG seats just under 20,000 fans and has hosted the Big East Men’s basketball tournament since 1983. This is the longest running tournament held at a single site in all of college basketball.
