The 2012 OVC basketball tournament will be held in Nashville Municipal Auditorium between February 29th and March 3rd, 2012 and is branded “Music City Madness” again this season. This will be the seventh time the men’s and women’s tournament have been held together at the site, and eighth time the men’s tournament has been held at the location. 2012 will be the second year in a row that the tournament is played in a merit-based format with byes for the top teams and is the 49th holding of the tournament for the men’s tournament. The winner of the 2012 OVC Tournament will gain an automatic bid to the 2012 NCAA basketball tournament. Times are tentative and based on the 2011 OVC tournament until confirmed by the league.
