The 2011 ACC Men’s Basketball Tournament returns to Greensboro, North Carolina again in 2011 from Thursday March 10th through Sunday March 13th. The winner of the tournament will obtain the ACC’s automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Tournament. The following is the 2011 ACC Basketball Tournament Schedule and notional TV schedule (based on 2010 until released by the ACC).

UNC will take the tourny, N.C State does not have the team to beat Virgina or Maryland, the theres no way the should have even got a seed in this ACC tourny, yeap Wake Forest deserved a #12 seed with a 1-15 conference record, sorry to tell y’all this but UNC taking the acc tourny Barnes and Zeller are going to be unstoppable.

The only reason the tarholes beat Duke last time is because Kelly missed 5 wide open 3 pointers. If you tarhole fans think this means they’re going to win the NCAA you’re up in the mountains with ole Roy doing what them there mountain folk do. Any team that makes it to the final 8 will not be missing those shots. Sorry, but the tarholes are an elite 8 team at best. Duke is probably a sweet 16 team.
They get a sour taste in their mouth everytime they meet unc, UNC has beat them 3 quarters out of 4 this season, Unc always plays tough teams going in the ncaa tourny, Louiville Villinova Notre Dame wasnt even in the top 25 when it came down to tourny so if your a number 1 team in the nation you might wanna beat three teams that wasnt even in the top 25. That is a pretty easy way to steal a championship. UNC will take it this year, and next year.
Tate I know there wasn’t much of a season for you to watch last year but entering the tourney villanova was #9 (baylor: #8, Purdue: #11) That being said- It’s college basketball everyone is there to play their hardest no matter what their ranking (st. mary’s, cornell, BUTLER, and Washington just to name a few). Regardless, UNC doesn’t have the firepower and Duke probably doesn’t have the consistancy to win a title; I say let’s go State!! haha

Carolina has definitely rebounded nicely from what appeared to have been the makings of another subpar season. But tournament play is much different than regular season play and their lack of depth with only eight scholarship players will have a major impact once the days in between games are reduced as they will be over the course of the next month.

North Carolina has the best team in the acc in my opinion. Florida State is good,but overall I think carolina has a better team. I predict that duke will not even make it to the finals, they will lose to florida state in the semifinals. They will lose because they rely on the three too much and if those are not falling, they have no chance to win because they do not have a reliable inside game like florida state and carolina do. It will be florida state and north carolina in the finals,it will be a good game,but carolina will win the acc tournament. They will be a one or two seed in the ncaa tournament, and make it at least to the elite eight,but they have the team to win it all. Duke might get a one seed, but they will be out by the elite eight, if not that, the farthest they will make it is the final four.
